The Question:

Should I do cardio on the days I lift, which is everyday? I recently started the 6-Day Get Lean Express Program and I'm having a hard time trying to fit cardio into that routine. What do you suggest?

If I am going to workout everyday, do you suggest that I move to, say to a three day program, and then reserve the remaining three days for cardio, or is it okay to do some cardio on the same days that I lift?

The Answer:

You can do some cardio after the lifting days when you are doing your upper body training. Do these cardio workouts 3 times per week for 30 minutes or so. Try to keep your heart rate at 70% or below if you want to minimize any lean body mass loss. Go to this address to find out what 70% is!
