The Question:

I am in the fifth week of my program and have really started to notice some good changes. Thanks! Just last week, however, I found out I am pregnant. Should I continue with the workouts as they are?

I feel really strong, and always take breaks when I need them. What do you think? Also, is it OK to split one of the workouts into two days? I usually don't have the time to perform the entire workout in one day. Thanks!

The Answer:

Congratulations!

That is great. Always check with your doctor to make sure that everything is safe and to find out about any individual concerns that may be present. Many people can continue to train even out to the 7-8 month mark. But this depends on the individual. Be aware of excessive heat when training. Also, make sure you are taking in the required amounts of calories and nutrients for you. Don't diet during this time. We are in the process of greatly expanding our exercise information for pregnant women. We will be bringing in various doctors and specialists to help us with establishing safe and effective guidelines. Stay tuned!
