The Question:

I'm a 16 year old male, 5'8", 160 lbs. I would like to start bodybuilding. I have a 110 lb. set of free weights.

Can you suggest some exercises to get me started? Can you recommend a good book (illustrated) for beginners?

The Answer:

If you really want to try a bodybuilding program, check out the 4 Day Bodybuilding Express Program. This is a tough one but, if you are eating and sleeping well you should be ok. Or you could simply start with the 3 Day General Fitness program to ease into everything a little bit slower. Then, go to the recommended readings section and get "The Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding" by Arnold Schwarzeneggger. This is a great illustrated book for beginners.
