The Question:

I am 35 and on my 4th week of the get lean program(5 day M-F) and feel great! The qustion I have is, in my daily workouts I do 10 min on a stationary bike to get my blood flowing(part of warm-up) and after the workout 25 min on the stairmaster(cardio,HR @140). On satauday I just do the a warm-up, stationary bike 10 min, abs and the stairmaster. Next week I plan to increase to 30 min on the stairmaster and plan to maintain time throughout the remander of the 12 weeks. MY main goal is to lose bodyfat around my abdomen area. Am I going in the right direction? Robert

The Answer:

You are doing great. Many people ask me specifically what abdominal exercise they should be doing to "get ripped". Of course, there isn't one magical exercise or group of exercises to do to have a toned and tight mid-section. You are on the right track however. Keep up your cardio work, train with weights, eat a quality diet and you will reach your goals.

Check out the nutrition section of the site for some good information on how to improve the quality of your diet.
