The Question:

I'm trying to tighten up my abs. I need an exercise to really work and isolate my lower abs. Can you help me out with a couple exercises?

The Answer:

All of the Fitrex programs will provide you with the perfect amount of abdominal work with some good variety to help in defining these muscles. In order to specifically isolate the lower abs you will need to do exercises that involve some form of hip flexion. These are exercises like Reverse Crunches, Bent Leg Knee Ups from a Bench, and Hanging Leg Raises. You will find these exercises in all the Fitrex programs. However, a person could train abs for 1 hour every day and still not have great definition if their diet is not correct! The only way to achieve this definition is to combine a qulity exercise program with sound nutritional habits!

Once the training component is addressed your nutritional or food intake should become a primary focus. First of all, you should check out the nutrition section on our web site. This can be found at the Fitness Info button located on the top right hand side of our web page. Or you can click on this link to go straight to it: Fitrex Nutrition

There really aren’t any special foods that will make will make a significant difference. It is your overall nutrition plan that will make the biggest difference. Again, please check out our nutrition section for good, basic information.
